Restaurant Report Card: Dab’s Cafe
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dab’s Cafe is giving people a reason to visit the Middle Georgia Regional Airport, and not get on a plane. It’s serving up some good home cooking from inside the airport.
“We truly love what we do,” Earlene “Dab” Appling said.
Love is as love does, that’s Appling’s motto.
“Try to live that everyday and instill that within the restaurant,” she said.
Appling got a degree in food and nutrition – she’s worked around food her entire professional career so she knows what she’s doing.
“It’s instilled within me that’s where those recipes come from,” Appling said with a laugh. “We specialize in fried chicken, fried pork chops, we do meatloaf and homemade mac and cheese and collard greens.”
Appling says the food is good for the soul!
