Restaurant Report Card: 2015 Georgia National Fair

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The fair is back and so is the food.

The turkey legs and the roasted corn are all part of the fun.

“We’re all here at the fair and we’ll have a good time,” said Zabian Atkinson.

But first, your scores this week:

McCall’s Tastes To Remember on Watson Boulevard – 91

Monsoon on Highway 247 – 87

White Diamond Grill on Highway 247 – 98

Casablanca on Pio Nono Avenue – 88

Bearfoot Tavern on Cherry Street – 87

Michael’s on Mulberry on Mulberry Street – 82

Chang’s on MLK Boulevard – 100

Cox Cafe on Lower Poplar Street – 86

Johnny V’s on Columbus Road – 96

Ming’s Restaurant on Forsyth Road – 98

New China Grill & Buffet on Eisenhower Parkway – 87

Papa’s Wings and Deli on Pio Nono – 96

Great scores this week.

And the 100s are all over the place at the fair. It’s just a matter of what you’re having.

You’d think it couldn’t get much better than that, but the vendors have to make a 100 on the inspection.

“We have to have it washed rinsed sanitized everyday, and all of our food has to make temperature–a certain temperature–and so they check all of that,” said one vendor.

“You want it to be important so you don’t fall over and die when you get done eating your food,” said Atkinson.

Drop by the fair!

All the vendors are making the grade this week.
