Conair recalls Cuisinart grills over shattering glass hazard

Conair has recalled more than 12,000 Cuisinart Propel Plus Four Burner Three-in-One Gas Grills with Pizza Ovens. The recall comes after 37 reports of the tempered glass window in the pizza oven shattering during use, including one fire incident. No injuries have been reported. The grills were sold at Lowe’s, Walmart, and online from December 2024 through May 2025. Owners are urged to stop using the grill and check the company’s website for refund instructions.

Fire risk prompts recall of more than half a million Kobalt yard tools

Kobalt is recalling more than 500,000 yard tools—including trimmers, blowers, mowers, chainsaws, and pruning saws—because their 24-volt USB-C lithium-ion batteries can short-circuit and catch fire. There have been 34 reports of batteries smoking or sparking, but thankfully no injuries or property damage so far. The tools were sold at Lowe’s and online from January through May. Consumers should stop charging the batteries and contact the company for a free replacement.

 

Flaunt recalls MagSafe battery chargers due to burn hazard

Flaunt is recalling about 1,400 MagSafe battery chargers (model number E33A in melon, black, lavender, or white) after reports that they can overheat and catch fire. Regulators emphasize these lithium-ion battery chargers require special disposal.

 

Best Buy recalls Insignia® gas ranges for fire hazard

Best Buy is recalling certain Insignia® gas ranges (models NS-RGFGSS1 and NS-RGFCGS2) because the knobs can be accidentally turned on, presenting a fire risk. One accidental activation has been reported, but no injuries. The recalled ranges were sold from November 2020 through March 2026. Owners should stop using the ovens and request free knob covers from Best Buy.

 

Kia recalls more than 460,000 Telluride SUVs for fire risk

Kia has issued a recall for more than 460,000 Telluride SUVs from model years 2020 to 2024 due to a defect in the front power seat motor that could cause fires. No injuries have been reported. Owners are advised to park outside and away from buildings until free repairs are completed. Notification letters will be mailed to owners next month.
