Rashard Johnson named president of Atrium Health Navicent

Johnson will oversee Atrium Health Navicent facilities in Macon, Milledgeville and Byron, reporting to Georgia Market President Delvecchio Finley.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Atrium Health Navicent has named Rashard Johnson as its new president.

According to a news release, Johnson will oversee Atrium Health Navicent’s facilities across the region, including The Medical Center in Macon, Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin in Milledgeville and Atrium Health Navicent Peach in Byron. He will report to Atrium Health Georgia Market President Delvecchio Finley, who was named president and CEO of Atrium Health Navicent in 2020.

“Rashard is an accomplished leader who is known for his hands-on approach to hospital management,” Finley said in the release. “He works collaboratively with hospital leadership, medical staff, community partners, and others to drive improvements in clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. We are thrilled to welcome him to Atrium Health Navicent and look forward to working together to deliver exceptional health care to our community.”

Before joining Atrium Health Navicent, Johnson served as president of Atrium Health’s south market, leading teams at Atrium Health Pineville, Atrium Health Union, Atrium Health Union West and Atrium Health Anson hospitals in North Carolina.

His previous roles include CEO for Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital and Emory Long Term Acute Care in the Atlanta area, as well as leadership positions at Advocate South Suburban Hospital and Advocate Trinity Hospital in Illinois.

Johnson also served as vice president of operations and chief operating officer for CHI St. Luke’s Health hospitals in the Houston, Texas area and spent five years as assistant vice president of support services for UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics in Dallas.

He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Central Florida and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives. He also serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Wingate University Board of Trustees.
