MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Rain odds will be negligible Thursday as conditions stay slightly less humid following the cold front Tuesday night.

This Evening

Partly sunny skies will give way to mostly clear conditions during the overnight hours. Scattered cirrus clouds may hang around, but that will likely be all. It will be a cooler night with lows largely expected in the lower 70s, however a couple spots may go below 70 degrees. Wind will be out of the northwest at 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow

Thursday will be partly sunny and warm with highs likely to reach into the mid to upper 90s and heat indexes into the upper 90s and potentially lower triple digits. Rain activity is not expected, and wind will remain gentle out of the north-northwest.

Friday and the Weekend

Humidity will start to return a bit on Friday but it shouldn’t be all that noticeable right away. Highs will reach into the upper 90s with heat indexes into the triple digits, however, and a stray shower or storm cannot be ruled out. Rain odds will increase further over the weekend as more humidity returns.
