Rain doesn’t stop 2015 Cherry Blossom Parade

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Rain and cloudy skies didn’t make Sunday the ideal day to celebrate outside, but the Cherry Blossom Parade was still a success.

People held onto their umbrellas with smiles on their faces as they watched the mass of pink floats stroll down Cherry Street. Parade participants waved and handed out beads while bands kept the crowd upbeat and on their feet.

The Cherry Blossom Parade Grand Marshall, Dr. Jim Gaudet, knew the rain wasn’t going to be too big of a problem. 41NBC caught him pumping up all of the parade participants.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is happening now through April 4th.
