Rain continues into the weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The rainy pattern that has ended the work week will persist into the weekend.

This Evening

It’s been an overcast day with off and on showers around Middle Georgia and that will continue through the evening. Showers will remain possible through the overnight hours as well. It will be another chilly night with lows expected in the mid to upper 40s around the region. Wind will be light and variable.

Tomorrow

Yet another round of rain is likely Saturday. While the start of the day may not see much activity it will become more widespread again ahead of lunchtime. Highs will hover around 50 degrees across the region accompanied by light wind from the west-southwest. Rain should begin to taper off in the evening.

Overnight will be chilly and cloudy with temperatures likely to drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s around the region, or close to average for this time of year. Overnight rain is unlikely. Wind will be light out of the southwest.

Rain odds for the back half of the weekend have dropped off a good bit, especially for the daylight hours. Highs will reach the mid to upper 50s and a few showers will be possible during the day. However, activity will likely peak in the evening and overnight.

Rain odds will drop further Monday as sunshine works to make a return to begin the new week. Temperatures will gradually climb back towards the mid 60s in the afternoon as next week progresses.
