Rain chances, humidity hang around this weekend

Scattered storms were back again this afternoon in Middle Georgia, and although we didn’t pick up any rain in Macon, clouds did help us cool off.

More 90’s are on the way for the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds to start our Saturday.

A closed low pressure system in Texas will start to send in more gulf moisture to the Middle Georgia area, resulting in high humidity and scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Rain chances will start after Noon and continue into the evening hours.

Sunday afternoon and evening will bring more chances for scattered showers, as well as mostly cloudy skies.

By Monday, widespread showers are expected across the southeast with a few thunderstorms possible as well.

Rain doesn’t move out until much later in the week, so make sure you grab an umbrella as you are heading out.

Rain totals for the next 5 days will likely max out around 1″- 1.5″, with the heaviest rain coming on Monday and Tuesday.

By Thursday our rain chances will start to come down a bit as we see our high temperatures warm  back to the 90s.
