Railroad crossing closures set for SR 15 and SR 68 in Tennille from April 14–17, detours announced

Norfolk Southern will close railroad crossings on State Route 15 and State Route 68 in Tennille from Monday morning, April 14, through Thursday afternoon, April 17, according to a post on the Georgia Department of Transportation East Facebook page.

TENNILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Norfolk Southern will close railroad crossings on State Route 15 and State Route 68 in Tennille from Monday morning, April 14, through Thursday afternoon, April 17, according to a post on the Georgia Department of Transportation East Facebook page.

The closures will allow crews to replace the railroad crossings on both routes.

During the work, drivers should use W. Adams Street, which features a railroad overpass, and Matthews Road as alternate routes.

GDOT says drivers should plan ahead and follow posted detour signs while the closures are in place.
