Ragan Visits Middle Georgia Before Huge NASCAR Weekend

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Hundreds of NASCAR fans in middle Georgia got the chance to meet hometown hero, driver David Ragan.

He joined members of his fan club at his dealership in Perry today, to get ready for this weekend’s Sprint Cup series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Ragan says he’s amazed at the amount of support that comes from middle Georgia, and his fans are more like family.

Ragan recently tested out new equipment to get ready for the races this weekend, so he’s confident heading to Atlanta.

“A lot of the folks you become friends with and you get to know them and you had no idea who they were several years ago. So a lot of these fans are here at David Ragan Ford will be familiar faces that we’ve become real good friends with over the year friends,” Ragan said.

“We’re just excited that we can hang out and have a nice day and we can share some good friends and fellowship and get ready for the great fans at AMS,” he said.
