Production Crews Use Historic Opera House to Film Popular TV Series

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Today, Macon is being used as a location for an episode of “The Originals.”

The show is a spin-off of the popular television series on CW network of “The Vampires Diaries.”

Hundreds production crew members have set-up production vehicles on Riverside Drive and Spring Street to get cast members and equipment ready for filming.

From there, shuttles take the cast members and film extras to and from the set location at The Grand Opera House in downtown Macon.
