DEXTER, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Possum Hollow Festival is set to return to Laurens County next month after a long hiatus.

“Possum Hollow Festival 2.0” organizers are calling for vendors to participate in the event, which they say is set for Saturday, April 20 at Possum Hollow Ball Field, located at 202 W Main Street in Dexter. The event will start at 9 a.m. and end at 6 p.m.

Organizing committee member Katie Lancaster says the event is expected to feature more than 90 arts and crafts vendors, local bands and school entertainment, food trucks and activities for kids.

More than a dozen vendor spots remain open. Those interested should click the QR code on the attached event flyer or visit the event’s Facebook page for more information.

Lancaster says the festival originated in 1974 through Buckhorn Methodist Church, and the last one was held in 2011. Organizers are looking to bring the event back and “better than ever.”
