Portion of Wesleyan Drive in Macon to close overnight next Wednesday

Macon-Bibb says crews will tap a water main for a new apartment complex being built in the area.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wesleyan Drive from Bowman Road to Forest Hill Road will be closed to through traffic Wednesday, October 9 starting at 9 p.m. until Thursday, October 10 at 5 a.m.

Macon-Bibb County said in a news release residential traffic will be allowed access to their neighborhoods and homes.

According to the county, the road needs to be closed to allow crews to tap a water main for a new apartment complex being built in the area.

“The Engineering Department approved the closure because it is overnight, and will impact the fewest number of drivers and provide the safest the environment for crews,” the release stated.
