Police in Cochran investigating complaint filed against fire chief

COCHRAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Police in Cochran are now investigating Cochran Fire Chief Kevin Noles after a complaint was filed against him.

Lt. Heath Williams with the Cochran Police Department confirmed that a male employee at the fire department filed the complaint they received on September 24th.

Williams also told 41NBC he received an email stating that Noles had been suspended. 41NBC is working to confirm that information with City Manager Richard Newbern.

Right now, they have not disclosed the nature of the complaint.

Williams says at this time, they’re not planning on bringing anyone else in to investigate and that they’re hoping to have it complete by Friday.

41NBC reached out to City Manager Richard Newbern for comment but we’ve yet to hear back. We’ll provide updates as this story continues to unfold.
