Police find car of woman found shot to death, nude in park

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) – Atlanta police say they’ve found the car belonging to a 19-year-old woman whose body was found naked with multiple gunshot wounds in a city park.

Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (on-ajc.com/20Tjl3p) that Bridget Shiel’s red Ford Fusion was found Wednesday morning behind King’s Southern Delight restaurant in DeKalb County.

Atlanta police Major Adam Lee III said police believe Shiel was killed elsewhere before her body was left in a grassy area at Oakland City Park on the city’s south side. Her body, with gunshot wounds to her back, legs and arms, was discovered Tuesday morning.

Lee said a type of bullet rarely seen by investigators was found in Shiel’s body. Police released a photo of the “radically invasive projectile” or “R.I.P.” ammunition in hopes that it might generate clues.
