Police charge man with rape of Kennesaw State student

KENNESAW, Georgia (AP) – Police in Cobb County have arrested a former Kennesaw State University student on a charge of raping another student at a fraternity party in 2015.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://on-ajc.com/1suFBFW) that Anthony Lewis Cochenour was arrested Thursday.

A female student told police her party date sexually assaulted her. Police said rape kit results matched the man she had accused.

Cochenour was booked into the Cobb detention center Thursday night. He was released Friday after posting $50,000 bond.

The newspaper reports that Cochenour’s arrest was the third in the last month involving on- and off-campus rapes of Kennesaw State students. Cobb police said two men accused in one assault were charged in May.

Cobb jail records list no attorney for Cochenour.
