Pleasant breezes begin the second week of September

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Northeast winds will be rather pronounced the first few days of the new work week.
This Evening
Following a warm weekend wind from the north has cooled things off to get the new week rolling. Today has largely seen highs in the lower 80s with a decent amount of cloud cover. Clearing is expected through this evening and overnight. Lows will be in the lower 60s with a couple spots possibly dropping into the upper 50s. Wind will be a bit breezy from the northeast at 5-12 mph with gusts of around 15 mph through the night.
Tomorrow
Another relatively cool day is likely Tuesday but there should be more sunshine than Monday. Highs will again be in the lower 80s for most of the region with a breezy wind from the northeast at 5-15 mph. Gusts could push to around 20 mph through the afternoon and evening.
Overnight should be clear with lows expected around 60 degrees. Several spots may drop into the upper 50s as northeasterly winds persist (albeit a bit calmer).
Wednesday and Beyond
More sunshine is likely Wednesday with highs ranging from the low to mid 80s in the afternoon. The breezes should slow some Wednesday afternoon before becoming calmer over the back half of the week. Rain odds should stay negligible as temperatures will push into the upper 80s leading into the coming weekend.
