UPDATE: Pilot hospitalized after plane crash in Washington County
Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran says crews responded to a plane crash in Tennille just after 7:30.

UPDATE (9:30 p.m.) – The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Sheriff Joel Cochran.
Cochran says the pilot was the only passenger on board the plane and that he was taken to a trauma center in Augusta. He is expected to survive.
No other injuries were reported.
TENNILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Emergency crews are on the scene of a plane crash in Tennille.
A Washington County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post Saturday night said deputies, fire/rescue and emergency medical services responded to the scene on Carver Street.
“Use caution when in this area,” the post stated.
