Piano sensation playing benefit concert for Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – What started as an idea to benefit sick children is now a reality.

One year ago, Franklyn Thayer asked young piano sensation Thomas Pandolfi if he’d play a benefit concert for Children’s Hospital at Navicent Health. Pandolfi had never been asked that before, he said yes.

Thayer stopped by the 41NBC studio to talk about the big event. Thayer spent time at Navicent when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He became inspired by a cancer-stricken girl, who unfortunately passed away.

The Thomas Pandolfi Concert, benefiting Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health is Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 a.m. It takes place at Mulberry Methodist Church. It is free to the public and there will be a speical tribute to the military and our nation’s veterans. First Sergeant Gene Blackstone will provide a special performance of the national anthem.
