Person Fatally Shot in Downtown Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A person has been fatally shot at the Flash Foods in downtown Macon Tuesday around 4 p.m.

Coroner Leon Jones says the man was shot inside of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo sedan. Another man went to Medical Center Navicent Health with gunshot wounds. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Traffic temporarily stopped as deputies assessed the scene. The Flash Foods is on Forsyth Street between Orange Street and College Street. Jones said the crime scene stretched behind the gas station.

UPDATE: Fatally shot victim identified as Mercer basketball player Jibri Bryan.
