UPDATE: Second arrest made in connection with Perry apartment shooting
Police say a second person has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at Houston Lake Apartments in Perry.
UPDATE (3/26/26): A second arrest has been made in connection with the death of Diandre Oates this month.
According to a Perry police news release, Tylar Oglesby was taken into custody Wednesday in Denver, Colorado by Perry officers and U.S. Marshals.
Denver jail records show Oglesby is 27 years old.
Oglesby was wanted on a warrant for party to a crime.
The case remains under investigation.

UPDATE (3/19/26): A Macon man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting last week at an apartment complex in Perry.
According to a Wednesday news release from Perry police, Alexander Culler was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for murder in the death of Diandre Oates. Jail records show Culler is 29 years old.
Officers say they originally responded around 9:28 p.m. on March 12 to reports of shots fired at Houston Lake Apartments. While searching the area, officers found Oates behind the 1700 building with gunshot wounds.
The investigation is ongoing.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A person is dead following a shooting at an apartment complex in Perry, according to the Perry Police Department.
Police said Houston County 911 received a call at about 9:28 p.m. Thursday reporting shots fired at the Houston Lake Apartments.
Officers arrived and began checking the area on foot where the shots were believed to have been fired. During their search, they located an adult male behind the complex’s 1700 building who had suffered a gunshot wound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Houston County Coroner’s Office. Authorities said the victim has been identified, but his name has not yet been released as officials work to notify next of kin.
Investigators with the Perry Police Department, assisted by crime scene investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, are continuing to process the scene and follow up on possible leads.
Authorities said they do not believe there is an active threat to the public.
