Perry Police vehicle rear-ended while assisting with traffic control on I-75
"K9 Mats", was not involved in the crash and was not inside the patrol vehicle at the time of the accident.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Perry Police patrol vehicle was rear-ended while helping with traffic control on I-75 at the Exit 136 overpass on Friday.
According to a Facebook post, the patrol vehicle had its emergency lights activated at the time of the crash.
“Please be mindful of emergency vehicles when driving & MOVE OVER!” the post stated. “This vehicle was operating all emergency lights and still rear ended. Please drive safely!”
Police say the K9 animal assigned to this vehicle “K9 Mats”, was not involved in the crash and was not inside the patrol vehicle at the time of the accident.
Georgia Department of Transportation says a crash on Interstate 75 south Friday afternoon near mile marker 136 blocked two lanes and the shoulder. All lanes are now reopen.
