Police: $175,000 in stolen property recovered, two arrested in joint investigation
An investigation by the Perry Police Department, Bibb County Sheriff's Office and Houston County Sheriff's Office led to the recovery of $175,000 in stolen property and the arrest of two people, according to a news release from the Perry Police Department.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — An investigation by the Perry Police Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and Houston County Sheriff’s Office led to the recovery of $175,000 in stolen property and the arrest of two people, according to a news release from the Perry Police Department.
Timothy Winters and Ronnie Hamrick were arrested on January 14 by investigators with the Bibb County Property Crimes Unit. Both face multiple felony theft charges related to a series of thefts involving vehicles, equipment and construction materials that began in November 2024.
Investigators conducted interviews and follow-ups that resulted in the recovery of stolen items in both Bibb and Houston Counties.
“The collaborative efforts of these law enforcement agencies were instrumental in identifying the suspects and recovering the stolen property,” the Perry Police Department stated in the release.
Police say additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
