Perry Economic Development Director stepping down

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The city of Perry announced Mary Beth Bass, who’s been with the city since 2012, is stepping down as its Economic Development Director. 

During Bass’ tenure as director, she oversaw programs that brought the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing, the Georgia Main Street program, the Perry Buzzard Drop, and the expansion of the Downtown Development District among other things. 

Bass will step down on July 21 and has accepted a position with the University of Georgia’s J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.
