Perry businesses break records on Small Business Saturday
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Downtown Perry Businesses say they are breaking records this holiday shopping season.
Business owners say between Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, they brought in twice as many customers than ever before.
Michelle Rhoades, the owner of Mossy Creek, says as downtown grows, so does the number of customers.
The numbers
“Sales were at least 20-percent over last year,” Rhoades said. I’ve been in business for 10 years and it was the highest income-producing single day that we’ve had. Period. In our whole history of being in business.”
Tabitha Clark, the communications manager for the City of Perry, says businesses claimed that sales sky-rocketed during Small Business Saturday.
