Deputies: Woman killed in hit-and-run incident may have been laying in the road

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the pubic’s help in a hit-and-run incident that killed a woman in Macon.

Deputies believes Teresa Reynolds was laying in the road before she was hit and killed.

It happened just after midnight Monday.

The 46-year-old was found in the westbound lane of Vineville Ave with injuries to her head.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The vehicle that struck Reynolds left the scene by the time deputies arrived.

Deputies say Reynolds was wearing a loose fitting hospital gown with a black trash bag with her belongings.

The Sheriff’s Office says the driver may have assumed they hit debris.
