Pedestrian fatality in south Macon

UPDATE: The Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the victim. Police say he is a white male around 5’9” and 160 lbs. He has a goatee and mustache, as well as tattoos on the left side of his chest, a rose tattoo on his left arm, and another tattoo of a woman. Anyone who may know the victim’s identity is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man died Monday morning after he was hit by a vehicle.

The accident happened around 6:48 a.m. on Pio Nono Avenue near Hightower Road. Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones say witnesses told him the white male walked out in front of a Lexus heading south on Pio Nono and was struck.

Jones said the victim did not have any identification on him.

This is the first pedestrian fatality the year.
