Partly cloudy weekend ahead for Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – High pressure building off the southeastern coast of the US is setting up the region for a summer like pattern.
This Evening
Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy around Middle Georgia this evening with a slim chance for a small shower. Temperatures will remain pretty warm as the 60s likely wont arrive until around midnight. Low temperatures will drop into the low 60s ahead of Saturday morning for most of the region as cloud cover remains dominant. Overnight winds will be slightly breezy from the east-southeast at 6-13 mph, gusting upwards of 20 mph.
Tomorrow
It will be a mostly cloudy start to the day, making for good weather for lawn work early in the morning. Clouds will begin to break some during the lunchtime hours, leading to a partly cloudy afternoon. Highs will largely reach the lower 80s around the region as wind comes from the southeast at about 7-14 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph. A small shower or two will be possible over the back half of the day.
Overnight skies will be mostly cloudy as conditions stay relatively muggy. Lows will mainly be in the lower 60s around the region with wind continuing out of the southeast at 6-13 mph. A small shower will be possible overnight, but overall rain odds will remain low.
Sunday and Beyond
Sunday will also be partly cloudy with highs warming into the mid 80s in the afternoon. Winds will continue from the southeast at 6-13 mph, gusting upwards of 20 mph. It will be a cooler night, however, as many of the overhead clouds will clear out during the late evening hours Sunday.
Monday will see more sunshine as highs climb into the mid 80s, however much of next week will be partly cloudy with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s and lower 90s by the late week.
