Partly cloudy but still cooler Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It will be less gloomy outside Wednesday as temperatures stay in the 80s.
This Evening
A mostly cloudy afternoon will give way to a partly cloudy night around Middle Georgia. It’s been breezy with northeasterly winds blowing at 10-15 mph, gusting up to around 20 mph. Those winds will continue through this evening and tonight. It will be a much cooler night as temperatures drop into the mid 60s. No rain is expected.
Tomorrow
Wednesday will be partly cloudy with temperatures peaking in the mid to upper 80s. Wind out of the east-northeast will blow at 10-15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph in the afternoon. While a stray shower or two cannot be ruled out, rain is not expected overall on Wednesday. This will be arguably the nicest day of the week.
Overnight will begin with scattered clouds, however the amount of cloud cover will ramp up during the early morning hours ahead of the sunrise Thursday. Low temperatures will bounce back up a few degrees into the upper 60s thanks to the added cloud cover. Ambient wind will remain out of the east-northeast at 5-12 mph, gusting upwards of 20 mph.
The Tropics
All areas in the Atlantic Basin currently have less than 40% chance to develop into a tropical depression the next 7 days. However, an area that was marked last week and over the weekend in the Gulf of Mexico will bring rain to the Peach State to finish off this week.
