MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Operation Softback Book is hosting its first resource day at Greater Little Rock Baptist Church on Felton Avenue in Macon.

The event, set for Saturday, January 24 from noon until 3 p.m., is designed to connect community members with helpful resources, including assistance with lowering power bills during the winter months.

“It is our goal to ensure that our people in our community are aware of the different resources that are here,” said Earnestine Wilson, founder and CEO of Operation Softback Book. “So we partner with Georgia Power to ensure that each citizen has the opportunity to get a discount off of their Georgia Power bill.”

The church is located at 2046 Felton Avenue. The resource day is open to all ages and will include activities for children, along with support from Georgia Power and other community organizations.
