Operation Cross Country includes Macon-Bibb prostitution bust
It’s a national bust on child sex trafficking.
Since 2003, this nationwide program aims to work with local officials to capture as many sex traffickers and violators as they can.
Here in Middle Georgia nine people have been arrested for prostitution, or pimping.
“The lesson of operation cross country is that our children our not for sale,” F.B.I. Director James Comey says, “We will respond and crush these pimps who would crush these children.”
Reports say across the nation, more than 3,600 juveniles have been recoverd, leading to 1,450 convictions.
