Old grave dug up in Crawford County

KNOXVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Crawford County Sheriff Lewis Walker is trying to find the person who dug up a grave at the Old Bethel Methodist Church cemetery.

Sheriff Walker tells 41NBC the incident happened Saturday morning off of Causey Road. He adds it is possible the person took some contents from the grave.

Sheriff Walker is not releasing the name of the deceased person until he notifies the person’s family.

He is asking for anyone with information to contact the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
