Nunn encourages support of service workers in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U.S. Senate democratic candidate Michelle Nunn stopped in Macon on Thursday.
She and her supporters met at the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to pack up boxes to give out to families in need.
Nunn says it’s important for people in the community to highlight and pay tribute to those who serve our country and the community.
“We’re demonstrating the capacity for people to work together to actually get things done which we need more of in Washington. I think Washington can learn a lot from Georgia and what happens in places like this,” Nunn said.
This latest stop in Macon is apart of Nunn’s Patriotism and Service Tour.
Early voting is going on today until July 18th.
