North Georgia Bank Robbery

DILLARD, Ga. (AP) – State and local law officers are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they say robbed a bank in the north Georgia mountains.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the suspect on Monday afternoon entered the Rabun County Bank in Dillard, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said he left the scene in a late 1990s model black Ford Explorer.

Police, who are distributing pictures of the man recorded on the bank’s surveillance camera, say he had at least one visible tattoo and a facial piercing.

Dillard is about 100 miles northeast of Atlanta, just south of the Georgia-North Carolina line.
