Noonday Optimist Club of Macon celebrates 75th Anniversary
The organization works with the community, to promote positive relationships and activities. Members say they also focus on promoting an active interest in government and civic affairs, as well as inspiring a respect for the law.
“The Optimist Club is a social club where children and youth our are main focus,” says Macon Chapter President Oscar Hall. “We have a motto that says, the smile of a child makes it all worthwhile.”
Next month, the Noonday Macon Optimist Club is planning to host a speech contest in Warner Robins. Middle school students will have the chance to win a 15-hundred dollar scholarship.
