While the sun has come back to some degree for much of Middle Georgia this afternoon, clouds will return through the evening and overnight. Temperatures will drop into the 50s for overnight lows with wind expected to come from the southeast at 5-10 mph. Some light rain will be possible ahead of the sunrise tomorrow morning in the westernmost counties.

Tuesday will be a washout for most of the region as rain is expected to move in during sunrise and not clear out until well after the sun sets. Temperatures will likely reach the upper 60s and lower 70s tomorrow afternoon with the heavier rain likely in the evening and early overnight hours. Wind will largely come from the south-southeast at around 10-15 mph. Gusts could push upwards of 20 mph.

Rain will continue into tomorrow night before slowing ahead of the sunrise Wednesday. It will be warm and muggy with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s to begin Wednesday. Calmer winds could lead to some fog overnight/early Wednesday as well.

Some scattered small showers will be possible Wednesday, especially early on as the system that brought Tuesday’s heavier rain works to clear out. Some sun will be possible over the latter parts of the afternoon. Expect the muggy conditions to carry through Thursday with another round of widespread heavier rain likely Saturday and Sunday.
