New “walk-in” clinic in middle Georgia caters to patients on the go

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you’re feeling under the weather, and you want to get checked out immediately, there is new way for you to get a check up.

MinuteClinic is open inside of several CVS pharmacies across the state, and the first ones in middle Georgia opened Wednesday. Nurse practitioners will be on hand throughout the week, dealing with everything from minor bumps and bruises to writing prescriptions.

“We see common ailments such as strep throat, ear infections, bladder infections, and we also provide wellness and prevention for diabetes, high blood pressure, and smoking sensations,” Ariel Esteves, a nurse practitioner, said.

The MinuteClinic is open seven days a week.

You don’t have to make an appointment, and most insurance companies are accepted.

There is one location in Macon, another in Warner Robins. Another clinic is scheduled to open in Macon in June.
