New Milledgeville Economic Development Center is a one-stop shop for citizens

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Milledgeville held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new economic development center.

A big crowd was there for the event. The building located off East Hancock Street offers citizens a one-stop shop for economic development.

Carlee Schulte with Milledgeville Main Street and the Downtown Development Authority says it will become the new home for her office, as well as code enforcement, planning and zoning, human resources, engineering, permitting, and the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Development Authority.

“I think it’s going to be a huge success for bringing new business and making it easier for people to come into our community and get things done, start a business as they deal with our economic development center,” Schulte said.

They also hosted a plaque dedication in honor of the city’s recent “Great American Main Street” award.
