New Macon brewpub preparing for fall opening

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon’s newest brewery is making progress on opening before the end of the year.

10,000 lbs. worth of equipment was dropped off this morning at the Ocmulgee Brewpub. The tanks will be used to brew unique beers for Middle Georgia.

“Once it’s in, we start the brewing process in the brew kettle in the mash ton, from there it goes over into the fermentation tanks which it will be, actually, right in the window. So you’ll be able to see it from outside,” Kaitylynn Kressin, the director of marketing, said.

Ocmulgee Brewpub plans on opening in the fall of this year.

It’s on Second Street in downtown Macon.
