New business teaches pet owners first aid for their cat or dog

MACON, Goergia (41NBC/WMGT) – Statistics show more the sixty percent of the people in the U.S. who own a home have at least one pet.

Enter avid animal lover Steven Cleveland. He is starting a business to teach people with an animal how to administer first aid.

Each first and third Saturday of every month Cleveland will be teaching classes at The Renewal Center located at 456 First Street, in Macon.

One class will be for people that have dogs. The other class is geared toward people who own cats.

The Cleveland’s Training Center is dedicated to making sure pet owners can provide emergency first aid before an animal is able to be seen by a veterinarian.
