New and future parents attend Macon toddler expo

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Current and future parents learned what it takes to raise a healthy baby Saturday at a toddler expo at the Tubman Museum.

The United Way of Central Georgia set up booths to let families know about different resources an service.

“Being a new parent comes with a lot of responsibility,” says Judy Nelson, United Way of Central Georgia’s vice president of marketing and communications. “Not only to yourself, but to your child, and being equipped and prepared and informed is going to not only make your job as a parent more successful but also more enjoyable because you’re going to have a healthy child you can play with and enjoy.”
