FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Department of Transportation crews will implement an all-way stop traffic control measure at the intersection of U.S. 341/Georgia Highway 7 and Woolfolk Road – Knoxville Street on Tuesday, June 8.

That’s according to a GDOT news release, which said the measure was requested by the city of Fort Valley and planned with GDOT support in response to a recent increase in crashes at the site.

“When the all-way stop is in effect, motorists may encounter stopped vehicles,” the release said. “The traffic could back up during morning and afternoon commute times. Drivers should slow their speeds through the area, be alert to the potential for traffic and be patient.”
