New acting president appointed at FVSU

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The University System of Georgia named Dr. Jessica Bailey as the acting president of Fort Valley State University.

Dr. Bailey will start her new position on May 16th. She is the university’s current Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Current President Dr. Ivelaw Griffith is expected to step down on June 30th.
