Navicent Health employees give a large donation to Children’s Hospital

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Through the Achieving Tomorrow Giving Program, 400-thousand dollars will be used to help move Children’s Health Center, Navicent Health to an outpatient pediatric clinic on First Street.  Navicent Health President and CEO Ninfa Saunders says she excited about the new opportunity.

“The employees love the children so much, and knew that we needed the money to expand the clinic,” Saunders says. “They care about the needs of our community.”

The new health center has already finished planning and is expected to open later this Spring.

More than 40-percent of Navicent Health’s employees contributed to the giving program.  Since its inception, the program has given more than 12-million dollars to hospital projects and local charitable healthcare initiatives.
