MWA to temporarily shut off water in Forest Hill Road area

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Water Authority is warning residents on Forest Hill Road of an interruption of water services this week.

MWA is alerting customers their water will temporarily be shut off twice this week as crews work on the road widening project.

An interruption of waters services will be on Tuesday from 11 p.m to Wednesday at 4 a.m. Customers on Forest Hill Road from the intersection of Forest Hill and Lokchappe Road to the intersection of Forest Hill and Wimbish Road, including Waverly Pointe Apartments, will be affected. Side streets along Forest Hill Road, including Forest Hill Terrace, North Laura Ann Place, North Laura Ann Court, and Wood Forest Place my also be affected.

Water shut down will continue on Thursday from 11 p.m. to Friday at 6 a.m. for customers who live within 1700 Forest Hill Road to 1340 Forest Hill Road. Other streets in the area could be affected, including Underwood Drive, Hill Place, Ousley Place, and the interestion of Forest Hill Drive and Glennwood Drive along Gleenwood Drive to the intersection of Gleenwood Drive and Lake Valley Court.

Contractors sent notices to affected customers.
