Mutual Law Agreement Provides More Service

Warner Robins City Council members unanimously voted Monday night to pass a resolution allowing the city’s police and fire departments to work with other local agencies in times of need.

This mutual aid agreement means law enforcement and fire departments from Peach and Houston counties will come together to help each other in the event of an emergency.

“Or any other situation where we require more personnel and fast than what they had on duty. We have had instances of hostage situations where we have to support each other out there, emergency situations where we have a wonderful swat team. Perry may be close and able to assist us with a tank or something to get a fire out near their city, that’s on the edge of ours,” said Councilman Bob Wilbanks.

The agreement includes Perry, Centerville, Byron, and Warner Robins.
