WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base is seeking volunteers interested in Air Force history.

In a Facebook post Monday, the museum said it is looking for volunteers who are at least 17 years old and can commit to at least one regular four-hour shift each week.

Volunteers may work additional shifts if they choose.

The museum says it does not offer temporary or walk-in volunteer opportunities and does not accept court-ordered community service commitments.

Current openings include Monday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Eagle Building, Tuesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Nugteren Hangar, Wednesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Nugteren Hangar and Century of Flight Hangar, Thursday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Nugteren Hangar and Friday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Nugteren Hangar.

The museum says its greatest need is for the Friday afternoon shift in the Nugteren Hangar.

Volunteer duties include welcoming visitors at exhibit building desks, assisting visitors and walking museum floors while guests are present to help keep an eye on exhibits.

The museum says volunteers receive a four-hour orientation.
