Museum of Arts and Sciences and Medcen team up for First Saturday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – the Museum of Arts and Sciences was packed Saturday.

Free admission brought kids from all over Middle Georgia.

it’s part of an initiative philanthropic organization Medcen is putting on.
Medcen supports the Central Georgia Health System.

Kids had a chance to learn about black holes and pet animals in the mini zoo.

“We have coined the phrase “STEAM” where we add art back into learning science,” said Director of Communications for the museum Sherry Singleton. “So that’s something that we really try to to push home with kids is that you can learn science is everything–it applies to everything–but art also has a huge role to play in learning that stuff.”

Free admission first Saturdays at the museum will continue next month, on September 6th.
