Waynesboro murder suspect arrested in Macon near Peavy Drive

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s gang and drug investigators along with the Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force found a man wanted for murder.

Investigators say that the Waynesboro Police Department wanted 27-year-old Cyrus Dion Mincey of Augusta for murder. Bibb County deputies say they found Mincey in Macon at a residence near Peavy Drive around 10 a.m.

Authorities say that deputies arrested Mincey without incident and took him to the Bibb County Jail.  

Mincy is being held on the following warrants:

  • Murder for Waynesboro Police Department
  • Probation Violation for Richmond County Sheriff’s Office

Mincey is not eligible for a bond in Bibb County.
