It’s been another overcast day for most of Middle Georgia with off and on light showers. The warmest locations only climbed into the lower 60s with many spots staying in the mid-upper 50s seen so far this week. The wind has largely been out of the southeast to this point however a shift to the west is likely later this evening as the cold front passes through. There should be some clearing of the clouds in the wake of the front’s passage however they will return ahead of sunrise tomorrow. Lows tonight should largely be in the mid to upper 40s across the region accompanied by a west-southwest wind at 6-12 mph. Gusts will likely reach to around 20 mph.

Sunshine will still be pretty tough to come by Thursday however there will be more than what has been seen so far this week. Highs will reach into the low to mid 60s around the region with more sun likely in the late evening. A few stray showers will be possible throughout the day as well. Any rain will be light. The most noticeable aspect of tomorrow will be the wind, however, as it blows from the west-northwest at 10-17 mph with gusts pushing as high as 30 mph.

The first sunny day of the week is expected for Halloween with highs reaching into the mid to upper 60s. The warmest spots could clip 70. The wind will be calmer from the northwest however gusts could still reach over 15 mph. Those dressing in costumes for Trick-or-Treat or Halloween parties may want to consider extra layers under their costume as it will be a chilly evening with overnight lows likely in the mid to upper 30s. The weekend will continue the sunny pattern as temperatures slowly climb.
